I know that Heidi has already posted about this conference in the "On the Road" section.

However, I just wanted to say that today is the start of the Microbiology Society conference in Liverpool which looks like it's going to be a great event. Unfortunately, like many others, I cannot attend.

However, you can follow along with the conference on Twitter without even making an account via this link:

If you do have a Twitter account, you can follow the hashtag #Microbio16 (I see that the Nature Microbiology account is already Tweeting away!)

It looks like it's going to be very active and if you've never used Twitter before, I think you'll be surprised how much information you can get from the online discussions.

Let me know what you think in the comments to this post.

I'm a Communications Officer at MAX IV Laboratory in Lund, Sweden and the Community Editor for npj Biofilms and Microbiomes. I'm interested in how bacteria cause disease and look to technology to produce novel tools to study and ultimately prevent infection. Part of my current role is to find ways to use synchrotron radiation to study microorganisms.
