My research is focused in the complex interplay between Microbe, Host and the Environment, and its impact on the emergence of infectious diseases.
The overarching goal of my research is to enhance our understanding of the evolution of microbial virulence and to better understand the drivers of infectious disease emergence and the ecological origins of these microbial pathogens.
